Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pasir Putih (White Sand) by Mochtar Apin was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. The price achieved of HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,458.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mochtar Apin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Memecah (Triptych) in October 2016 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 88,259.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pasir Putih (White Sand) von Mochtar Apin kam im November 2017 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.458,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mochtar Apin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Memecah (Triptych) im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 88.259,44).
