The work Native by Milton Resnick was sold in the Contemporary Discoveries auction at Sothebys in New York in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at USD 20,160.00 (€ 18,173.62), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Resnick achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ulysses in May this year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 236,530.88).

Die Arbeit Native von Milton Resnick wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Discoveries bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 20.160,00 (€ 18.173,62) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Resnick erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ulysses im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 236.530,88).
