This artwork by Milton Resnick achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work Abstraction sold for USD 44,100.00 (€ 38,175.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00. Admittedly, works by Milton Resnick have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ulysses in May this year with an auction result of USD 252,000.00 (€ 236,530.88).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Milton Resnick erzielte im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Abstraction für USD 44.100,00 (€ 38.175,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 25.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Milton Resnick auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ulysses im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 252.000,00 (€ 236.530,88).
