Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Interiors, which included the work Marilyn Monroe From The 'Black Sitting', 1956 by Milton Greene. The price achieved of USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,032.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nelly Nyad (1952) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Marilyn Monroe From The 'Black Sitting', 1956 von Milton Greene zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.250,00 (€ 1.032,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Greene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24).
