Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work Marlene Dietrich, 1952 by Milton Greene for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,231.94). This price was achieved in the auction Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Milton Greene have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nelly Nyad (1952) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im April 2019 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Marlene Dietrich, 1952 von Milton Greene für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.231,94) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Milton Greene auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24).
