Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Marlene Dietrich's Legs, 1952 by Milton Greene was sold in the Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection auction at Christies in New York in April 2019. Here, the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 6,875.00 (€ 6,137.84). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Milton Greene - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nelly Nyad (1952), which sold at auction in October 2000 for USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Marlene Dietrich's Legs, 1952 von Milton Greene wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Daydreaming: Photographs from the Goldstein Collection bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 6.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 6.875,00 (€ 6.137,84) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Milton Greene mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24) versteigert wurde.
