Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Milton Greene could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work Marlene Dietrich changed hands for USD 1,536.00 (€ 1,453.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Milton Greene achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nelly Nyad (1952) in October 2000 with an auction result of USD 15,275.00 (€ 18,000.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Milton Greene konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Photographs wechselte die Arbeit Marlene Dietrich für USD 1.536,00 (€ 1.453,44) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Milton Greene erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nelly Nyad (1952) im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.275,00 (€ 18.000,24).
