Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ed and Mamie Barger, from the Heber Springs Portraits by Mike Disfarmer was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in May 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,275.00 (€ 1,148.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mike Disfarmer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Pals with Cigarettes in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,857.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ed and Mamie Barger, from the Heber Springs Portraits von Mike Disfarmer kam im Mai 2020 bei Bonhams in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.275,00 (€ 1.148,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mike Disfarmer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Pals with Cigarettes im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.857,06).
