Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in New York held the auction The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman, which included the work Heber Springs, Arkansas, c. 1940-1945 by Mike Disfarmer. The price achieved of USD 4,750.00 (€ 3,405.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mike Disfarmer have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Pals with Cigarettes in June 2021 with an auction result of GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,857.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heber Springs, Arkansas, c. 1940-1945 von Mike Disfarmer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.750,00 (€ 3.405,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mike Disfarmer auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two Pals with Cigarettes im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.857,06).
