Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Christies in New York held the auction The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman, which included the work Heber Springs, Arkansas, c. 1940-1945 by Mike Disfarmer. The price achieved of USD 5,625.00 (€ 4,033.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mike Disfarmer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Two Pals with Cigarettes, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 12,750.00 (€ 14,857.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The American Landscape, Black and White Photographs from The Collection of Bruce and Nancy Berman durch, in der auch die Arbeit Heber Springs, Arkansas, c. 1940-1945 von Mike Disfarmer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.625,00 (€ 4.033,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mike Disfarmer mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Two Pals with Cigarettes beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 12.750,00 (€ 14.857,06) versteigert wurde.
