In June 2008 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Untitled (Bouquet d'ampoules) by Michel François. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 11,250.00 (€ 14,220.38), 25% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Michel François have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Souffles dans le verre in October 2008 with an auction result of GBP 49,250.00 (€ 62,776.08).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Im Juni 2008 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Bouquet d'ampoules) von Michel François zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 14.220,38) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michel François auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Souffles dans le verre im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 49.250,00 (€ 62.776,08).
