Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nyx by Michael Steiner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2019. The price achieved of USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,241.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Steiner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lycus, which sold at auction in July 2011 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,410.38).
