Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2021 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Michael Steiner for USD 625.00 (€ 552.22). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Michael Steiner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lycus in July 2011 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,410.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2021 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Michael Steiner für USD 625,00 (€ 552,22) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open Online: Post War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Michael Steiner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lycus im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.410,38).
