Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Conjurer by Michael Steiner was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in July 2019. The price achieved of USD 1,375.00 (€ 1,235.40) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,000.00 – 2,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Steiner have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lycus in July 2011 with an auction result of USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,410.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Conjurer von Michael Steiner kam im Juli 2019 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.375,00 (€ 1.235,40) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.000,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Steiner auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lycus im Juli 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.410,38).
