Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2015 Christies in New York held the auction First Open, which included the work You Were Meant For Me by Michael Manning. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 8,399.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael Manning - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Little Lies, which sold at auction in October 2014 for GBP 25,000.00 (€ 31,921.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion First Open durch, in der auch die Arbeit You Were Meant For Me von Michael Manning zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 8.399,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Michael Manning mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Little Lies beobachtet, die im Oktober 2014 für GBP 25.000,00 (€ 31.921,39) versteigert wurde.
