Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Michael Landy could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2012 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art auction, the work I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles changed hands for GBP 4,000.00 (€ 5,019.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Landy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Michael Landy konnte im September 2012 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit I'm Forever Blowing Bubbles für GBP 4.000,00 (€ 5.019,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Landy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47).
