Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2014 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work 4.2.N.Y. 27 Minutes At The Sculpture Garden by Michael Landy. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,538.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Michael Landy have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 25,853.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit 4.2.N.Y. 27 Minutes At The Sculpture Garden von Michael Landy zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.538,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Michael Landy auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit H.2.N.Y. Tinguely Machine Erases its own Construction in 27 Minutes im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 25.853,47).
