This artwork by Michael West achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in October 2020. In the Post-War & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction, the work To the Saints sold for USD 123,750.00 (€ 106,250.54) - well above the upper estimate of USD 60,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Michael West; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot 7 and 8 sold at auction in May last year with the realized price of USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).
