Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Michael West was auctioned at Christies in New York in September last year. The price achieved of USD 52,920.00 (€ 54,093.84) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Michael West - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 7 and 8, which sold at auction in May last year for USD 176,400.00 (€ 164,383.56).
