Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by McArthur Binion could be acquired at Christies in New York in September 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Post-War to Present auction, the work House: Works 02; House: Works 10 (Two Works) changed hands for USD 12,500.00 (€ 11,462.63) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by McArthur Binion achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work DNA Study: III in May last year with an auction result of USD 428,400.00 (€ 399,217.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von McArthur Binion konnte im September 2019 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Post-War to Present wechselte die Arbeit House: Works 02; House: Works 10 (Two Works) für USD 12.500,00 (€ 11.462,63) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von McArthur Binion erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit DNA Study: III im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 428.400,00 (€ 399.217,22).
