Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Oliviers et Agaves, Infra-Rouge No. II by Maurice Tabard was sold in the The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation auction at Phillips in New York in October 2017. It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,512.02) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Tabard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,139.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Oliviers et Agaves, Infra-Rouge No. II von Maurice Tabard wurde im Oktober 2017 in der Auktion The Odyssey of Collecting: Photographs from Joy of Giving Something Foundation bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.512,02) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Tabard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.139,80).
