Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,273.48) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Admittedly, works by Maurice Tabard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,139.80).

Die Arbeit Portrait Of Georges Pomies, C. 1929 von Maurice Tabard kam im April 2021 bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 8.750,00 (€ 7.273,48) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Maurice Tabard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.139,80).
