Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Electric Hair by Maurice Tabard for GBP 1,275.00 (€ 1,497.80). This price was achieved in the auction The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale at Bonhams in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Maurice Tabard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 in May 2015 with an auction result of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 52,139.80).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Electric Hair von Maurice Tabard für GBP 1.275,00 (€ 1.497,80) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Mind's Eye / Surrealist Sale bei Bonhams in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Maurice Tabard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Punu Mask, Solarised Film, 1936 im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 52.139,80).
