The work Becoming by Matteo Pugliese was auctioned at Sothebys in London in February 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 60,847.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 31%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Matteo Pugliese - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Samurai, which sold at auction in April 2021 for HKD 1,638,000.00 (€ 175,373.57).

Die Arbeit Becoming von Matteo Pugliese kam im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 60.847,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 31%. Für andere Arbeiten von Matteo Pugliese mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Samurai beobachtet, die im April 2021 für HKD 1.638.000,00 (€ 175.373,57) versteigert wurde.
