Auction result well in line with expectations
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work VW Lernpark Two #0980 by Massimo Vitali. The price achieved of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,915.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Massimo Vitali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rosignano, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 151,000.00 (€ 95,539.39).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit VW Lernpark Two #0980 von Massimo Vitali zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.915,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Massimo Vitali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rosignano beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 151.000,00 (€ 95.539,39) versteigert wurde.
