The work Animaletti 1 (#2024) by Massimo Vitali was sold in the Photographs auction at Phillips in New York in April this year. It achieved a price of USD 12,700.00 (€ 11,503.62), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 41%. Admittedly, works by Massimo Vitali have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rosignano in March 2008 with an auction result of USD 151,000.00 (€ 95,539.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 41 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Animaletti 1 (#2024) von Massimo Vitali wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Photographs bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 12.700,00 (€ 11.503,62) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 41%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Massimo Vitali auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rosignano im März 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.000,00 (€ 95.539,39).
