Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Massimo Vitali could be acquired at Bonhams in London in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Photographs auction, the work 'San Marco 2' changed hands for USD 28,160.00 (€ 26,646.48) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Massimo Vitali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rosignano, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 151,000.00 (€ 95,539.39).
