Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Phillips in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Titus Arch Pine Tree #3092 by Massimo Vitali. The »bidding war« ended at USD 40,320.00 (€ 38,265.16), 15% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Massimo Vitali - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rosignano, which sold at auction in March 2008 for USD 151,000.00 (€ 95,539.39).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Phillips in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Titus Arch Pine Tree #3092 von Massimo Vitali zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 40.320,00 (€ 38.265,16) und damit 15% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Massimo Vitali mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rosignano beobachtet, die im März 2008 für USD 151.000,00 (€ 95.539,39) versteigert wurde.
