This artwork by Masaaki Yamada achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in December 2020. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Still Life P.no 24 sold for HKD 89,250.00 (€ 9,413.94) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Masaaki Yamada achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Work C. 98 in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 121,123.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 79 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masaaki Yamada erzielte im Dezember 2020 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Still Life P.no 24 für HKD 89.250,00 (€ 9.413,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Masaaki Yamada erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Work C. 98 im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 121.123,30).
