Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Masaaki Yamada achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work Work B.134 sold for HKD 477,500.00 (€ 53,093.16) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Masaaki Yamada - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Work C. 98, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 121,123.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Masaaki Yamada erzielte im November 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Work B.134 für HKD 477.500,00 (€ 53.093,16) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Masaaki Yamada mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Work C. 98 beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 121.123,30) versteigert wurde.
