Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Hazy Day by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan was sold in the Russian Paintings auction at Sothebys in London in November 2012. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 44,450.00 (€ 54,757.89). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martiros Sergeevich Saryan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Poet (On The Foothills Of Aragats) in November 2012 with an auction result of GBP 623,650.00 (€ 768,273.52).
