The »bidding war« ended at USD 63,000.00 (€ 55,816.43), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martin Wong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Quong Yuen Shing & Co. in May last year with an auction result of USD 1,260,375.00 (€ 1,174,517.75).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 63.000,00 (€ 55.816,43) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martin Wong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Quong Yuen Shing & Co. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.260.375,00 (€ 1.174.517,75).
