In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Study For Mediteranea by Martín Chirino. The result of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,695.24) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Martín Chirino achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work El Viento in June 2021 with an auction result of EUR 226,800.00.
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study For Mediteranea von Martín Chirino zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.695,24) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Martín Chirino erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit El Viento im Juni 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 226.800,00.
