Upper estimate price exceeded by 100 %.
This artwork by Mark Ryden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in London in June last year. In the Evening & Day Editions auction, the work Princess Praline and Her Entourage sold for GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,781.15) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Ryden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Queen Bee in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 714,000.00 (€ 549,738.22).
