This artwork by Mark Ryden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in May 2013. In the The 11th Hour auction, the work Queen Bee sold for USD 714,000.00 (€ 549,738.22) - well above the upper estimate of USD 400,000.00. This high result makes Queen Bee the most expensive artwork by Mark Ryden that we have observed at auctions so far.
