In July 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Art Online: NYC, which included the work Big Doll, 1997 by Mark Ryden. The »bidding war« ended at USD 37,500.00 (€ 32,034.85), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Ryden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Queen Bee in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 714,000.00 (€ 549,738.22).

Im Juli 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Art Online: NYC durch, in der auch die Arbeit Big Doll, 1997 von Mark Ryden zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 32.034,85) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Ryden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Queen Bee im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 714.000,00 (€ 549.738,22).
