This artwork by Mark Ryden achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in September 2020. In the New Now auction, the work Big Doll sold for USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,802.87) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mark Ryden achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Queen Bee in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 714,000.00 (€ 549,738.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Ryden erzielte im September 2020 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion New Now wurde die Arbeit Big Doll für USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.802,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mark Ryden erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Queen Bee im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 714.000,00 (€ 549.738,22).
