Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior by Mark Kostabi was sold in the 80s auction at Phillips in New York in December 2010. The price achieved of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,536.36) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Mark Kostabi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Accumulation, which sold at auction in June 2007 for USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,301.78).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior von Mark Kostabi wurde im Dezember 2010 in der Auktion 80s bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.536,36) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Mark Kostabi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Accumulation beobachtet, die im Juni 2007 für USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.301,78) versteigert wurde.
