The work Private moment by Mark Kostabi was sold in the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction at Il Ponte in December 2014. It achieved a price of EUR 2,800.00 exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 27 %. Admittedly, works by Mark Kostabi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Accumulation in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,301.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 27 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Private moment von Mark Kostabi wurde im Dezember 2014 in der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea bei Il Ponte versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 2.800,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 27 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Kostabi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Accumulation im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.301,78).
