Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Mark Kostabi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Il Ponte in December 2014. In the Arte Moderna e Contemporanea auction, the work New monument sold for EUR 2,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Kostabi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Accumulation in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,301.78).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Kostabi erzielte im Dezember 2014 bei Il Ponte einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Arte Moderna e Contemporanea wurde die Arbeit New monument für EUR 2.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Kostabi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Accumulation im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.301,78).
