Auction result misses estimated price range

This work of art by Mark Innerst could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art auction, the work The Reservoir changed hands for USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,206.00) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Innerst have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Distant View in May last year with an auction result of USD 35,280.00 (€ 32,876.71).

Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Dieses Kunstwerk von Mark Innerst konnte im Juni 2013 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art wechselte die Arbeit The Reservoir für USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.206,00) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Innerst auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Distant View im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 35.280,00 (€ 32.876,71).
