Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 Christies in New York held the auction The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints, which included the work A Meter of Jungle by Mark Dion. The price achieved of USD 2,375.00 (€ 2,095.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mark Dion have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Babel in March 2018 with an auction result of USD 15,000.00 (€ 12,175.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Collection of Melva Bucksbaum: Post-War and Contemporary Art, Photographs and Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Meter of Jungle von Mark Dion zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 2.095,83) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mark Dion auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Babel im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.000,00 (€ 12.175,32).
