This artwork by Mario Mafai achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Paris in March last year. In the Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne auction, the work Nudo Seduto sold for EUR 32,760.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Mafai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 138,580.35).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Mario Mafai erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Christies in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Oeuvres Modernes sur papier / Art Impressionniste et Moderne wurde die Arbeit Nudo Seduto für EUR 32.760,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 12.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Mafai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 138.580,35).
