Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il Caffè Degli Intellettuali by Mario Mafai was auctioned at Sothebys in Milan in October 2018. The price achieved of EUR 17,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Mario Mafai have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) in October 2007 with an auction result of GBP 96,500.00 (€ 138,580.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Il Caffè Degli Intellettuali von Mario Mafai kam im Oktober 2018 bei Sothebys in Mailand zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 17.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mario Mafai auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Natura morta con manichino, maschera e abito rosso (recto); donna in abito da sera (verso) im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 96.500,00 (€ 138.580,35).
