Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2018 Sothebys in New York held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work 8192015±At±0451Pm by Margo Wolowiec. The price achieved of USD 6,875.00 (€ 5,915.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margo Wolowiec - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crumpled in the Backseat, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,796.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2018 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit 8192015±At±0451Pm von Margo Wolowiec zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.875,00 (€ 5.915,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Margo Wolowiec mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crumpled in the Backseat beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.796,76) versteigert wurde.
