Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2017 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included this untitled work by Margo Wolowiec. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,859.51) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Margo Wolowiec - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crumpled in the Backseat, which sold at auction in September 2016 for USD 20,000.00 (€ 17,796.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2017 führte Phillips in London die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Margo Wolowiec zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.859,51) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Margo Wolowiec mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crumpled in the Backseat beobachtet, die im September 2016 für USD 20.000,00 (€ 17.796,76) versteigert wurde.
