The work 1936 (D. Shostakovich) by Marcin Maciejowski was sold in the Contemporary Art Day Auction auction at Sothebys in London in March 2018. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,771.10), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Marcin Maciejowski have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Picasso'S Boy With Pipe in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,646.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 67 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit 1936 (D. Shostakovich) von Marcin Maciejowski wurde im März 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Day Auction bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 20.000,00 (€ 22.771,10) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Marcin Maciejowski auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Picasso'S Boy With Pipe im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.646,17).
