It achieved a price of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,062.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 63%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Marcin Maciejowski achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Picasso'S Boy With Pipe in June 2017 with an auction result of GBP 87,500.00 (€ 99,646.17).

Die Arbeit The City (1937) von Marcin Maciejowski kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.062,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 63%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Marcin Maciejowski erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Picasso'S Boy With Pipe im Juni 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 87.500,00 (€ 99.646,17).
