This artwork by Manuel Mendive achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in July 2021. In the Contemporary Art Online | New York auction, the work without title sold for USD 15,120.00 (€ 12,744.44) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Manuel Mendive have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Energías para el amor y la bondad in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 125,000.00 (€ 111,249.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Manuel Mendive erzielte im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online | New York wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 15.120,00 (€ 12.744,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Manuel Mendive auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Energías para el amor y la bondad im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 125.000,00 (€ 111.249,56).
