In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art, which included the work Sin título by Manuel Hernández Mompó. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,553.50 (€ 2,235.91), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Manuel Hernández Mompó achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mercado in October 2006 with an auction result of EUR 60,000.00.

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sin título von Manuel Hernández Mompó zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.553,50 (€ 2.235,91) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Manuel Hernández Mompó erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mercado im Oktober 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 60.000,00.
